You have done great things

God is by no means a non-vocal creator. Just think of the actions He took to make His plan for Jonah clear as day. Since I have arrived at Samford, God has been speaking on a whole other level. He is making his presence known in my life and directing me in every way. I want this site to be a dedication to the miracles God performs daily in not only my life but also in yours. Please post your stories as well. What an AWESOME God we serve. There has been so much going on in my life at Samford. Books and classes are only part of the activities.

You Have Done Great Things... by providing
Before the 1st day of classes I felt really lead to do something service like on the 1st weekend. As the week progressed God made it evident what hHe wanted us to do. We started up this organization called "Five Loaves of Bread." What we do in the is new ministry is make sandwiches for the homeless and pass them out on Saturday. Friday afternoon, Matthew and I went over to Walmart to buy all the PB&J supplies we needed for the following day. As we were in the left turn lane the car next to us overheated. Because Matthew was in the car (safety is important) we asked the man what we could do to help him. He asked if we had water. Thankfully I happened to have several bottles of water that I had been meaning to put in my dorm 2 weeks earlier. Matthew and I parked the car and gave him the water he needed. WE finally arrived at Walmart and got all of the sandwich needs. As we were standing in line waiting to pay, the lady in front of us was looking at our items. WE asked her if she thought we had enough Peanut Butter for all the bread (5 loaves). She said we had just the right amount. She then asked if we were throwing a party. We told her that we were making sandwiches for the homeless and passing them out in downtown Birmingham the next day. The ever so kind woman turned back around to the cashier and told her she was paying for all of our items. Matthew and I told her she didn't need to do it, but she insisted. God provides!!! I tell you the whole story as a testament of God providing as well as his perfect timing. If it wasn't for us stopping for the car, we wouldn't have been behind the lady in line. God Provides!!!!!! To finish the story we handed out 65 sandwiches Saturday afternoon within 20 minutes. We only got to go to one of our 3 places. We plan to do this again this coming weekend. The Lord will Provide!!
To make this amazing story even more Blessed. We visited a Dawson Baptist Church this morning. The sermon was about Christ feeding the 5000 with 5 loaves of bread. God lets you know when you are heading in HIS direction.
